The Ecole Polytechnique (ESP), a public institution with an inter-African vocation of the Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar, has for mission to:

1- train both theoretically and practically:
- senior technicians;
- execution engineers;
- and design engineers.

2- provide higher education and carry out research activities with a view to preparing directly for management functions in:
- production;
- applied research;
- and services.

3- to organize courses and research activities aimed at permanent improvement, adaptation and participation in scientific and technological evolution.

4- carry out expertise in the context of training for public and private companies.
