Pomona Impact
About

Pomona Impact makes investments in Small Growing Businesses, particularly those with a social mission, across Mexico, Central America, Colombia, and Ecuador. These firms contribute significant benefits to people and communities at the bottom of the economic pyramid. They work closely with portfolio companies to identify and create value and positive impact.

Initially founded as an angel investment group in May 2011, Pomona Impact has had success in its initial investments and is currently working on launching several initiatives. They just completed their first pilot fund of $1 million which they used to invest in 15 companies and are now launching their first formal fund, the Pomona Impact Fund I which will be targeting the sectors of agriculture and basic goods and services for the base of the pyramid populations.

Pomona Impact also actively seeks to build the entrepreneurial ecosystems in its target region. They have developed two co-working spaces in Guatemala and have partnered with Impact Hub's Latam Seed Program to help them identify teams to start Impact Hubs across Central America.

They value the collaborative nature of impact investing and celebrate opportunities to work together with entrepreneurs, organizations, and businesses on bringing meaningful impact to Mexico, Central America, and Ecuador.
