Pompey in the Community (registered charity no. 1126118) is an independent charitable trust affiliated to Portsmouth Football Club.
All the coaches are FA qualified, hold enhanced CRBs as well as Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children certificates.
The children will be well cared for in a safe environment and supervised at all times.
Pompey Study Centre is located on the corner of Anson Road and Rodney Road, behind Fratton Park and offers the people of Portsmouth a unique environment for learning. As well as the educational facilities that the Study Centre has to offer, it is the home of Pompey Sports and Education Foundation
The Pompey Study Centre first opened its doors in October 2000 and having been at two previous venues in the city has been in its current location on the corner of Anson Road and Rodney Road, behind Fratton Park since it was officially opened in September 2008. The Pompey Study Centre is able to offer an incredible variety of ‘learning through football’ opportunities with thousands of school pupils having already benefitted.
The Study Centre is a unique learning environment with various facilities, including; the Biscoes Partnership IT suite with 30 iMac computers, 2 smaller IT suites with 15 computers which can be opened out into one big meeting room, a well-stocked football library and a breakout area to meet and relax. The Study Centre is used by all age groups, school children, PFC Academy, PFC Futsal Scholars and adults from other local education establishments.
The Education Team at the Pompey Study Centre currently offers courses ranging from the history of football, road safety, rail safety and what not to put down the drain! All workshops and programmes are designed and delivered by experienced personnel. Many of the programmes that are delivered by Pompey Study Centre staff are funded by local businesses such as Affinion, South West Trains and Southern Water.
