POSCO E&C is a general construction company established in December 1994, aiming for a global engineering & construction company based on expert engineering technologies, know-hows, and man powers with skills and experiences from the integrated steelworks of POSCO which has one of the world-wide competitiveness in ironworks.
From its strategic business planning to design, construction and test-run, POSCO E&C not only has been implementing a series of projects, but also has earned trust from its customers in diverse industries including plant construction for steel plant, environmental plant, power plant, new city development & architecture, social overhead capital (SOC) and skyscrapers.
POSCO E&C has also expanded its business to the development of new cities and complex such as Songdo International Business District in South Korea and North An Khanh New City in Vietnam, and to new and recycling energy sector including building power plants for solar, wind and tidal energy for future. In addition, POSCO E&C has been expanding its market to countries in Latin America, Middle East and Eastern Europe.

With its strong competitiveness in steel plant engineering, POSCO E&C is expanding into the overseas markets such as China, Vietnam, the Middle East, South America, the US and Africa.
In addition, POSCO E&C is enhancing its competencies by expanding into public infrastructure projects, and participating in urban development construction projects to build landmark infrastructures in cities and to improve the quality of living in developing countries. Research and development
POSCO E&C established its R&D center in 1994 to contribute the advancement domestic engineering and construction industry. As part of the core management strategy of the company, they set up a corporate technology master plan to develop competencies for core business areas in which they can achieve a comparative advantage over other advanced technologies, such as long-span bridges, light rail transit, super high-rise buildings, environment-friendly buildings, new and renewable energies, and chemical engineering plants --all based on our extensive experience in steel plant EPC projects.
