With 157 years of history, a network of over 12,800 post offices, approximately 134 thousand employees, 514 billion euros of total financial assets and about 35 million customers, Poste Italiane is an integral part of the country's social and productive fabric and represents a reality unique in Italy in terms of size, recognition, capillarity and trust on the part of customers.
In 2018 the Group's activities aimed at producing and supplying goods and services generated direct, indirect and induced impacts on the Italian economy of approximately € 12 billion in Gross Domestic Product, involved a total of about 184,000 workers and generated the distribution of workers' income of around 8 billion euros.
Listed on the Milan Stock Exchange since 2015, Poste Italiane counts, among its major shareholders, the Ministry of Economy with a share of 29.26% and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti with a share of 35%. From April 2017 Maria Bianca Farina is President and Matteo del Fante Chief Executive Officer and General Manager.
