Potential Engineers (Pvt.) Ltd. was founded in 1976 and it started as Sub-Contractors to two big national construction companies, who were at that time engaged in the installation of 500kV Transmission Line, from Tarbela Power Station to Faisalabad, a distance of approximately 300 K.M.
With the passage of time Potential Engineers were pre-qualified as Prime Contractors for the construction of Transmission Lines, Sub-Stations and related Switchgear with Pakistan Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA), an organization owned by the Government of Pakistan, responsible for power generation in the country.
Potential Engineers over the years have successfully installed a number of 500 kV, 220 kV and 132 kV Transmission Lines and number of Sub-Stations for WAPDA (NTDC) and Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC), the second largest power producing facility in Pakistan based at Karachi. Thus Potential Engineers have emerged as a dependable company, not confined to power projects only, but also to handle High Tech Equipment and state of the art technology.
Potential Engineers, have on their payroll more than 300 employees that include highly qualified and experienced Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen and other Technical Staff duly supported by managerial and financial experts. The organization is fully geared to handle projects of any type, size and magnitude.
Trading Division
In 1988, the company established a Trading House, operating under the names of Contracts, Trade & Services Limited. The main focus of activity of the Trading Division is to supply parts and equipments required for Power Generation, Power Transmission, Distribution Network, Telecommunication and Electro-Medical Equipment.
The Trading Division has a worldwide access to renowned manufacturers and suppliers and constantly remains on the lookout for new business contacts and opportunities.
Manufacturing Division
PCC POLES
At their plant in Sadiqabad, PEPL, for the last 23 years is producing pre-stressed Cement Concrete Poles of various sizes used as supports for Distribution Transmission Lines by the Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC). Recently the facility has been extended to produce hollow spun concrete poles.
PC SPUN POLES
We are currently in the process of installing our first PC Spun Pole Plant at our pole plant at Sadiqabad. By installing this plant we become the member of the elite group, who are manufacturing the PC spun poles. As this is the new technology specially in Pakistan. We have tried our level best not to compromise quality. That is why we have imported all the machinery and formworks. This plant will soon start its production.
