Power Construction Joint Stock Company No. 1 (PCC1) was founded on 2 March 1963. With the initial mission of building national power grid projects, PCC1 has grown up and showed its competences in different economic fields after 50 years in operation and development and ranked the 185th among TOP 500 biggest private companies in Vietnam, with the size of over 20 subsidiaries and a turnover of over 150 million USD.
In the process of establishment and development, the next generation of PCC1 has made the bold mark on the entire national power operation system and transmission network by power transmission line and substation construction projects with large scale and high quality. PCC1's construction works have brought electric energy to all parts of North, Central and South of the country from urban to rural, mountainous areas, remote islands and even on the mountains and plain of Laos, our brothers.
Over many years with its business and capacity, PCC1 has implemented and completed tens of thousands of kilometers of 500kV, 220kV, 110kV, hundreds of thousands of kilometers of 35kV, completed many 500kV substation construction projects with a total capacity of tens of thousands of MVA. PCC1 also participated in constructing hydroelectric plants, completed many telecommunication systems and fiber optic lines. Moreover, PCC1 has manufactured and installed tens of thousands of tons of standard and non-standard steel structures. The firm has a team of managers, technical staffs with highly qualified skills from famous domestic and international universities to inherit, develop and manage large-scale projects that were especially important to the nation.
With the contribution of the company on strategic development of national power in recent years, the company has been conferred many honors such as the Medal of Independence First, Second, Third; Labor Medal Second, Third; and many other rewards of ministries and people's committees of provinces and cities.
PCC1 has the financial capacity by its own working capital and the trust from BIDV, Vietinbank and other credit institutions which committed to providing credit for PCC1 when necessary to serve the implementation of large-scale projects, ensuring the progress and quality of the project. To improve the managerial capacity of construction projects' quality, PCC1 regularly provide advanced training course for managers and technical staffs, the company has been operating quality management system followed ISO 9001-2008.
