About

In response to the urgent need to reform land as a critical success factor for the realization of the visions of the Federal government of Nigeria, the Presidential Technical Committee on Land Reform (PTCLR) was first inaugurated in April, 2009 by Late President Umaru Musa Yaradua. and was later reconstituted in November, 2011 by former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR. The reconstitution of the Committee is an attestation of the strategic relevance of land reform to the key transformation agendas of the Federal Government.

Under its previous Chairman’s leadership, the Committee put in place the basic framework for executing its assignment as well as the identification of the critical stakeholders, personnel and technical requirements.
