The Provident Insurance Company (PIC) is a private Limited Liability company incorporated and was registered in Ghana in February, 1981. 

PIC has a consolidated capital employed of ¢13.3billion.
Total Assets, ¢46.2billion, Reserves including Life Insurance Fund, ¢19.7billion and Investments, ¢25.3billion. The asset bases of the company include our own ultra-modern office premises and other properties located in prime areas including the Ring Road Central in Accra.

 

Operations Network

The company has branches in five (5) principal cities and towns in Ghana namely, Accra, Kumasi, Tema, Takoradi and Obuasi in addition to a few agency offices. The company’s policy over the years has been to operate a limited number of Branch and agency offices in order to facilitate efficient and effective monitoring and control. In addition to direct operations, the company works with and through brokers and gents.

 

Distribution System

PIC employs both the Direct Sales and the Agency System to distribute its products. The distribution channels employed include Exclusive Agents, Salaried Marketing Offices and Brokers. The company has its head office in Accra, supported by branch offices in five other principal cities and towns namely Kumasi, Tema, Takoradi, Cape Coast and Obuasi. As of Sept. 30, 2007, Provident Insurance Company has contractual arrangements with about 87agents, selling solely the products of Provident Insurance Company.
