They are an indirect decentralized entity, with the character of a partnership between public entities of the national order,  with the main function of programming, producing and broadcasting the public channels of National Television: Colombian Signal, Institutional Channel ; as well as the National Public Stations , Radio Nacional de Colombia and Radiónica.

As part of the convergence process, the Public Media System has moved forward to offer all Colombians digital services and content through its web pages, among which its online radio stations Classic Signal, Digital Signal, Radionic 2 and Radionic 3 stand out.

Likewise, RTVC also has the strategy of safeguarding, promoting and circulating the audiovisual and sound heritage of RTVC public media system, Memoria Signal and RTVCPlay, the free entertainment platform, RTVCPlay where you get everything and for everyone.
