History:
2018: We launched the 4.5G network, the only one in Mexico, which reaches download speeds of up to 1 Gigabit per second and is 10 times faster than the 4G Network.
2016: We won the spectrum tender for the 1710-1780 MHz / 2110-2180 MHz frequency band (AWS Band).
2012: We implemented the LTE, LTE Advanced and 4G Connectivity system, which allows a browsing speed of up to 20 Mbps.
2008: We launched the 3G connectivity system, thereby improving the mobile user experience.
2002: We implement the GSM network and Value Added services under the Ideas Telcel concept.
1996: We innovated with the launch of the Amigo system, the first prepaid system in Mexico and the world, with which we consolidated ourselves as a leader in mobile telephony, reaching a million users that year.
1989: The Telcel brand appears, we started operations in the city of Tijuana.
1984: We obtain the concession to operate the mobile radiotelephony service network in Mexico City, under the name of Radiomovil DIPSA SA de CV
