The Multicultural Network of Trans Women of Guatemala emerged in 2011 as an organization that meets the demands and needs of the population of trans women in the country from a multicultural approach, since 2012 has legal status registered and authorized by the Ministry of Governorate.
Since then, the organization has been working for the promotion and defense of the rights of trans women for the recognition and respect of the State, to the effective exercise of rights essential work, health, education, protection and participation citizen-politics of the trans community. From 2015 to 2019, it has been developing social development projects such as the launch, socialization and monitoring of the Social Inclusion Campaign of Trans Women in Guatemala, an exercise whose The result was shared with State agencies in May 2019.
Likewise, within the framework of promoting political participation and citizen in electoral processes, since 2015 the first electoral observation experience and has been followed up in 2019 through the implementation of the Observatory initiative for Promotion of the Vote of Guatemalan Trans Women.
