The general objective of the Reference Center for Disaster Preparedness (CREPD) is to assist the components of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in strengthening the capacities of National Societies in disaster preparedness, through the development of methodologies, tools, learning techniques and harmonization processes, considering the expertise and best practices of the National Societies themselves, and under the coordination of the Federation's Regional Office for America.
