Bernard REICHEN and Philippe ROBERT created the agency "REICHEN ET ROBERT" in 1973. They made themselves known by the exemplary conversion of the spinning mills of the North of France then by the rehabilitation of vast naves of the XIX ° century: the big hall of La Villette, the Pavillon de l'Arsenal and the Halle Tony Garnier in Lyon and finally the conversion of the Meunier factory site in Noisiel to host the headquarters of the Nestlé France group.
From this original and attentive practice of reconversion, which is necessarily complex through the multiplicity of criteria handled during a project, they have been able to draw from the original methodological approaches that they apply today in their new projects. The multifactorial management of the projects is also used in the urban and territorial surveys of which they have become recognized specialists thanks to the Grand Prix de l'Urbanisme awarded to Bernard REICHEN in 2005.
Their fields of intervention are today very varied, from hospital to tertiary buildings, from downtown shops to public facilities, from large City Projects to prospective studies. Their areas of intervention are also very diverse: metropolitan France, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Morocco, Dubai, Martinique, Reunion or Australia.
Since 2004, the agency has restructured to create "REICHEN ET ROBERT & ASSOCIES" which brings together the two founders and five new partners. The agency has a team of seventy employees, including 55 qualified architects.
