Research and Development Solutions (RADS) is a Pakistan based research and implementation group that includes public health researchers, policy experts, epidemiologists, statisticians, economists, sociologists, and anthropologists. They have worked in all provinces of Pakistan and have conducted research in over 60 districts.
They help generation and use of high quality and timely evidence for social change and human development by conducting primary and secondary research, monitoring, and evaluations; and to advocate for the use of this evidence base among policy makers. Some of this work includes developing and testing innovative ideas for urban development and health in their urban poverty research site in Rawalpindi squatter settlements.
They also test novel research techniques for mapping human populations and services such as the use of crowd sourcing and innovative techniques to collect data, including the use of their proprietary, in-house software – RadsWare – for collecting data.
Their partners and funders include The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, World Bank, USAID, UNICEF, DFID, GIZ, DKT, and more.
