RITTER SPORT is now sells in 80 countries and its story continues to be written by the family’s third generation, Alfred T. Ritter and his sister Marli Hoppe-Ritter. RITTER SPORT is not just a family business that has grown over the years into a large company. RITTER SPORT is, above all, a large company that has remained a family. The company has 800 employees in Waldenbuch, Germany.
They aim to make and keep our products attractive to consumers and to the market. Everyone who works at RITTER SPORT, regardless of area or level, goes through great lengths to ensure that their products reach you in the best possible quality. They guarantee that only perfect raw materials are used in their manufacturing plants and that only RITTER SPORT-worthy products are sold.
The protection of natural resources is one of the most pressing tasks of our time. We have a duty to act in an environmentally-responsible manner.
Their corporate independence as a family-owned private company puts us in a position where we are able to rapidly respond to market demands by making quick decisions. Ensuring the long-term existence of their company and of all jobs within it, is central to their activities.
The world isn’t just made of chocolate. That’s why it has always been a fundamental value of our company to look beyond their own realm, to operate sustainably and to be socially involved. Their efforts to protect our natural resources are a top priority with every expansion effort.
A good example of this concept is our own, highly-efficient combined heating and power station in Waldenbuch. We are also committed on the other side of the globe. In Nicaragua, we are committed to the protection of the tropical rain forests and better living conditions for small cocoa farmers. CACAONICA is the name of the Waslala cocoa-farming partnership project that we initiated in 1990.
In addition to their ecological projects we also care about our employees’ needs. Whether it’s an executive who’s been with us for years, or an apprentice, we want everyone who works for us to feel content and satisfied and be supported as best as possible.
And last but not least, they would like to draw attention to our commitment to supporting the arts – the work of young artists is close to their hearts. See more
