Originating from the 1990 founded in Berlin Association »Social Analysis and Political Education e. V., "the foundation developed into a nationwide institution of political education, a discussion forum for critical thinking and political alternatives, and a research center for progressive social development. Many volunteers participate in the work of the foundation, as members of the board and the supporting association, in the boards of the regional foundations, in the scientific advisory board, in discussion groups, as honorary lecturers and in the selection committees for the awarding of scholarships and the trust foundations.
