Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI)
About

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Their search and rescue service has been saving lives for nearly 200 years.

They save lives at sea around the UK and Ireland through their 24/7 lifeboat services, seasonal beach lifeguards, water safety initiatives and youth education.

The RNLI's international work is a small but important part of what they do.  They work with partners globally, and in countries with a high drowning burden, to elevate the drowning problem onto the global agenda.

They widen the research base, grow skills, and identify cost-effective and practical solutions to save more lives. The RNLI acts as Secretariat for the Group of Friends on Drowning Prevention, an informal group of like-minded Member States at the UN in New York.
