The “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative” International Public Foundation (IPF) began operating in January 2012. The main objective of the Foundation is to implement programs and projects that will contribute to the social, political and economic and ecological development of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Foundation leads initiatives in four main areas:

1. Investing in Future Generations: Implementing promotions and campaigns in the fields of education, science, culture, art, personal development, healthy lifestyles, quality of life and services for children, mothers and young people.
2. Democratic Governance: Improving democratic governance by strengthening fair and democratic institutions.
3. Sustainable Social Growth: Supporting economic growth through social innovation and technology transfer in order to improve human development in Kyrgyzstan; includes regional cooperation, human development, cooperation, microfinance and mutual aid, as well as social innovation and entrepreneurship.
4. Diversity and Culture as a Way to Access Global Values: Supporting access to the world’s art, music, literature and folk crafts in Kyrgyzstan to promote peace, friendship and harmony among nations and to prevent social, national, and religious strife.
