Safe Childhoods Initiative

The Safe Childhoods Initiative exists to address a simple and uncomfortable reality: childhood sexual violence remains widespread, deeply harmful, and chronically underfunded, despite a growing evidence base that prevention is possible and effective. Too often, philanthropic engagement in this space has been fragmented, cautious, or short-term, leaving field leaders without the sustained capital and collective backing required to reduce harm at scale. We are a field-wide resource mobilization initiative dedicated to helping change the conditions under which philanthropy engages on childhood sexual violence, so that more capital flows into the field, in more strategic ways, over longer time horizons, and with stronger connection to those closest to the work.
