The Salvation Army is an international Christian organization active in over 126 countries which from its religious inspiration provides material and immaterial support to people "without assistance or support". The international Salvation Army organizational structure is based on the General heading the worldwide organization with a Territorial Commander in every country in charge of operations in the relevant country. The Memorandum of Understanding related to a specific Territorial Commander includes a delegation of the authority of the General for representing the local Salvation Army entities.
