Supply Chain Management Services for Health for Africa (SAMASHA) was conceived as a realization that within Africa and particularly Uganda there are many NGO/CSO targeting various interventions rather than Health commodities and supplies supply chain management services. There is a disconnect from the national level strengthening programs and district/lower level health care system

SAMASHA established in 2007 to support the health sector both public and private to strengthen their supply chain management systems to ensure constant availability of medicines and supplies at all levels in the system.

SAMASHA provides procurement, forecasting and quantification, Inventory management and Logistics management information services to program, projects in the health sector.

 

Services

SAMASHA was established to provide warehousing, distribution and supply. chain management services to the public and private health care systems in Uganda.

  • Procurement planning at national and district level
  • Forecasting and Quantification at all levels in the health care system
  • Inventory management at all level in the health care system specializing at lower levels
  • Logistics management information system for decision making at national and service delivery point
  • Supply Chain management policy, strategy, systems design, and development
  • Health commodities warehousing and distribution at all levels in the health care system
