Save the Children Italy was established at the end of 1998 as a non-profit organization and started its activities in 1999. Today they are an NGO (non-governmental organization) recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They carry out activities and projects aimed at both the children and girls of the so-called developing countries and those living on the Italian territory.
They believe every child deserves a future . In Italy and in the rest of the world they work every day to give children what each of them deserves : the opportunity to be born and grow up healthy, to receive an education and to be protected. Since 1919 they struggle to save the lives of children and guarantee them a future, at any cost.
They operate in 117 countries around the world with health and nutrition programs, emergency response, education, fighting poverty and protecting children from abuse and exploitation.
