Scottish Water
About

Water is essential to life and to the communities in which we live and work across every corner of Scotland. At Scottish Water they’re focused on delivering the highest quality drinking water ever in Scotland and returning waste water safely to the environment every day of the year.

They’re proud of the fact that their customers – more than 2.4 million households in cities, towns and villages and over 150,000 businesses – are now receiving better service, continual improvements while the average charge is more than £50 a year lower than in the rest of Great Britain.

Scottish Water has come a long way since they were formed in 2002. Today they are a high performing business in Scotland employing thousands of people, from scientists, field operatives, maintenance staff to customer service professionals and engineers.

It’s their ambition to be Scotland’s most valued and trusted business as they work to put their customers at the heart of everything they do. Every year they are investing about £500 million pounds to improve the quality of life across all of Scotland.

They have a clear business plan for the future and a strong leadership team. They lead the way in many areas - for example setting industry standards in renewable energy - including their modern low carbon new office to serve the west of Scotland, their anaerobic energy plant and their energy creating turbines in their water pipes.
