SEAC was originally incorporated as H&S Pochin Limited in 1916 as part of the Standard Engineering Company, manufacturing fasteners and ancillary products. Today, SEAC has developed into a leading manufacturer and supplier of specialised industrial products that answers the need for speed to install, non-maintenance, good aesthetics and durability. SEAC has been built on the solid foundation of delivering innovative, top quality products with first class customer service. Specialist Fasteners: Polytops polymer headed fasteners was innovated by SEAC more than 30 years ago and remains the best fastening solution for installing UPVC fascias, soffits and cladding in the building and construction industry. The Polytops trademark is well known in the industry. Today, it is generically used to mean plastic top pins and nails or plastic headed pins and nails. Polytops is recommended by leading PVCU board manufacturers, Eurocell, Celuform, Deeplas. Other applications of Polytops include fixing vehicle number plates, sign boards and furniture. This was followed by Stranglehold Banding, a flexible metal strapping system for use as hose clip, duct joining and signage fastening. SEAC sold the Banding business in 2013 but continues to add products that answer to industrial needs, eg direct-insert concrete screws that do not require nylon plugs and baypole screws for bay window installation. Composite Building Products: SEAC added this exciting category of new products (composite decking, railing, fencing and roofing slates) which are engineered for practical reasons especially minimal maintenance, safety, durability and ease of installation. Eg Fiberon composite decking and fencing do not need annual staining to revive their looks, they do not splinter or split and are very aesthetically pleasing.
