Seattle Education Access (SEA)
Seattle Education Access (SEA)
About

“Education is more than a luxury; it is a responsibility that society owes to itself.” – Robin Cook

SEA fights poverty and homelessness by helping marginalized youth transition to local community colleges and four-year universities.

Helping the youth whose educations have been derailed by poverty and trauma turn their college dreams into college degrees.

Providing one on one social and educational support for enrolling and succeeding in college.

Offering free academic advising, tutoring, mentoring, career counseling, and supplemental scholarships.

Who they serve:

Many of their students have been homeless; others are immigrants, foster youth, or single parents. What they share in common is a strong motivation to complete their educations and a lack of adequate resources to achieve their goals.

Results:

Their students are succeeding in college and leaving poverty behind, preparing to give back to society as professionals and leaders of the next generation. 90% of the students who start college with SEA’s support graduate.
