Mission

To be the state institution responsible for formulating, designing, controlling, monitoring and evaluating national health policies, norms, plans and programs: exercising the stewardship of the sector; guide the resources of the national health system; as well as promoting driving and regulating the construction of healthy environments and the improvement of the living conditions of the population, the development and strengthening of a culture of life and health, the generation of intelligence in health, the attention to needs and demands of health, the guarantee of the safety and quality of goods and services of sanitary interest and the intetvención on collective risks and damages to the health.

Vision

They aspire to guarantee favorable conditions for the health of the Honduran people through the collective construction and proper management of a national system of integrated, decentralized, participatory and intersectoral health, with equity in access, universality in coverage and with high levels of quality, of opportunity, effectiveness and efficiency in the provision of services.
