The Seine-Nord Europe Canal Company (SCSNE) is a local public institution. It is set up specifically to lead the construction of the Canal Seine-Nord Europe, river infrastructure linking the basins of the Seine and the Oise to the European wide-gauge network between Compiègne (Oise) and Aubencheul-au-Bac (Nord) .

This public institution also has the mission of promoting economic development in connection with this infrastructure. The project is designed in close relationship with the territories allowing strong integration and listening to everyone's expectations.

The establishment can provide technical support to local authorities or developers for carrying out operations directly related to the canal infrastructure and support the economic development of port areas located along the river infrastructure concerned. The SCSNE is managed by a Supervisory Board. The latter makes the major decisions relating to the project.

It is chaired by Xavier Bertrand, president of the Hauts-de-France region. Nadège Lefèbvre, president of the department of Oise is the vice-president. The Supervisory Board is made up of representatives of the Hauts-de-France Region, the departments of Nord, Oise, Pas-de-Calais and Somme, as well as representatives of the State, the prefect of the Hauts-de-France Region as well as a deputy and a senator. Europe is also represented. Within Société du Canal Seine-Nord Europe, the Management Board implements the decisions of the Supervisory Board. It comprises 3 members and constitutes the general management of the Project Company. The Société du Canal Seine-Nord Europe team is made up of around sixty people at the end of 2021.
