Sifa Fireside
About

SIFA Fireside has been providing services for over 35 years. Although started as two separate organisations they merged in 2007 to become one.

SIFA Fireside brings together the best of two different organisations that were established to support vulnerable, and particularly, homeless people in Birmingham.

SIFA (Supporting Independence From Alcohol) started out as a local project working with street drinkers in the Moseley area.  The Fireside was started near the City centre by two catholic nuns to provide a place of respite for homeless people where they could access shelter and food.  Both organisations have been active since the 1970's and came together in 2007 to combine their strengths and tackle homelessness as one.

SIFA Fireside continues the traditions of both organisations providing the Drop In where clients can access shelter and food as well as gain access to a range of services provided in-house or through one of our partner agencies.
