Smarter Good was founded in 2012 by Jane Leu, a recognized social entrepreneur and Ashoka Fellow, to tackle the challenges faced by nonprofit start-ups and small organizations. With 20+ years of experience that encompassed six successful start-up ventures, Jane knew these challenges first-hand. While building Upwardly Global, the nonprofit she started at her kitchen table, now in five states, she spent a great deal of time with other social entrepreneurs.
While there was quality training and coaching available, she and her peers constantly wished for ways to get work done other than doing it all themselves.
Smarter Good provides strategic fundraising, finance, and organizational support services for social sector organizations. Their savvy and spirited team includes former executive directors, corporate philanthropists, journalists, researchers, and accountants.
