Sociedad Peruana de Derecho Ambiental (SPDA) is a non-profit civil association that - since its founding in 1986 - has worked continuously in the promotion of environmental policies and legislation in Peru, a work that has made us one of the most renowned Latin American organizations specialized in the theme.
SPDA promotes and facilitates the effective application of environmental policies and standards, actively participating in technical and political dialogue and intervening in the defense of citizen interest. SPDA proposes the use of specific planning and management tools linked to the effective articulation in the day to day of the three dimensions of sustainable development: environmental, economic and social.
SPDA believes in the important role of Regional and Municipal Governments in the search for sustainable development. Therefore, in addition to the office in Lima, SPDA has two decentralized offices in the Loreto and Madre de Dios regions.
