Created since 2007 according to institutional contract N ° 8672 of July 18, 2007. The company of the rapid rail network of Tunis responsible for the continuation of studies of the collective transport networks of Greater Tunis and the realization of the rapid rail network for the development of a efficient public transport system.

The corporate purpose of the Tunis rapid rail network company is to:

- Create a Fast Rail Network on Greater Tunis and all the annexes and junctions as well as multimodal stations and carry out all the related works.
- Carry out and monitor all studies, commercial, financial and land actions related to the project in a direct or indirect manner as well as all the procedures necessary for the general interest of the company.
