Spanish Association for Standardization (Asociacion Espanola de Normalizacion - UNE)

UNE contributes to the development of the economy through the development of technical standards and international cooperation activities. UNE is the only Organization for Standardization in Spain, designated by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness before the European Commission and with its activities it promotes the development of quality infrastructure, promoting the transfer of knowledge and the strengthening of companies. UNE Mission To be leaders in their normalization and cooperation activities in a global environment and be perceived as a reference in knowledge generation, trust and credibility. The mission of UNE establishes that through the development of Standardization, an activity of general interest, the Association aims to contribute to the competitiveness and security of companies, their products and services and processes, the protection of people, consumers and of the environment, the integration of people with disabilities, the promotion of Social Responsibility and the improvement of control of business risks, thereby contributing to the achievement of business excellence and the well-being of society. The Spanish Association for Standardization UNE is the only Standardization Body in Spain and as such has been designated by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness before the European Commission. In this sense, UNE is the Spanish representative in the international organizations ISO / IEC and in the European CEN / CENELEC being also the national standardization body of ETSI.
