Spectrum has diversified its scope of services toward General Construction. They carry a General Contractors SIC Code which enables them to offer complete construction services in addition to electrical contracting. This allows them to pursue Indefinite Quantity Contracts (IDIQ). They have completed projects at several U.S. Embassy sites and have been previously awarded an IDIQ Task Order Contract for Design/Build services worldwide.
Spectrum has demonstrated their ability to bid and manage multiple construction and repair projects throughout the world. As evidenced by their Past Performance, certificates of appreciation and positive Project Director / contractor evaluations. Resulting in four nominations for Contractor of the Year by The U.S. Department of State, Overseas Buildings Operations. The firm was established in Fairfax, Virginia in 1990 by Mr. Philip Pao. Spectrum began as an electrical subcontractor performing various types of new and remodeling projects on commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
Mr. Pao has been active in various phases of the construction industry and personally manages the day to day operations of the firm. This hands on management style contributes to Spectrum’s unsurpassed quality control standards. This is demonstrated by its ability to beat contract deadlines, control budgets, and maintain the highest level of job performance. The company has been successful through it’s project management expertise thus allowing the Embassies to conduct its regular full-scale operations and to have full and normal use of its premises and facilities while simultaneously conducting reconstruction.
