The goal of Gosstroy is to create a stable living environment for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic through the development of architectural and urban planning activities, housing and communal services, drinking water supply and sanitation.
The main tasks of Gosstroy are:
development and implementation of a unified state policy in the field of architectural and construction activities, housing and communal services, drinking water supply and sanitation;
representing the Kyrgyz Republic in relations with international organizations in supervised areas, as well as ensuring the fulfillment of obligations arising from international treaties to which the Kyrgyz Republic is a party;
ensuring compliance with the requirements of regulatory legal acts, technical regulations in the field of architectural and construction activities;
implementation of intersectoral coordination and regulation in the field of development of state technical regulations, development and approval of building codes and regulations in the field of architectural and construction activities, standards, selection of land plots for all types of construction, geotechnical surveys, design, architecture and urban planning, construction, construction materials, products and structures, development of housing and communal services and drinking water supply and sanitation;
implementation of measures for the construction, restoration and rehabilitation of social construction facilities and drinking water supply and sanitation systems, financed from the republican budget, international projects and other sources that do not contradict the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic
