State Sanitary and Health Inspectorate (North Macedonia)
The State Sanitary and Health Inspectorate (SOIP) employs 68 civil servants of which two are heads of departments, 15 heads of departments who are also authorized state and sanitary inspectors, and some of them are authorized border inspectors, 17 advisors - inspectors, 4 legal advisors, 10 junior officers and 21 junior associates.
Within the Inspectorate there are 15 regional units covering the territory of the Republic of Macedonia. The main function of the Inspectorate is to supervise the implementation of the regulations in the field of health care, protection of the population against communicable diseases, health insurance, protection of patients' rights and rights in the field of mental health, records from the area of health as well as the other regulations given in the table below. The competence, organizational structure of the Inspectorate, its powers and responsibilities, the manner and procedure for performing inspection supervision are regulated by the Law on Sanitary and Health Inspection (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 71/06, 139/08, 88/10, 18 / 11 and 53/11).
In addition to inspection, the State Sanitary and Health Inspectorate has the following responsibilities: preparation of annual plan and work program of the Inspectorate, preparation of work reports (monthly, quarterly, six monthly, annual), preparation of a six-month report in accordance with the Law on Protection. patient rights, preparation of reports to the Ombudsman, report of complaints, preparation of information, conducting administrative proceedings, acting upon client's request, resolving appeals in first instance, to TION OF opinions at the request of other authorities in accordance with law.
