STC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and compliant federal contractor focused on providing solutions to the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Intelligence Community (IC), and other federal markets. 

STC operates as a stand-alone corporation wholly owned by Louisiana State University.

Honoring a Legacy

Louisiana natives and LSU alumni Emmet and Toni Stephenson are known for their  entrepreneurship and philanthropy. Having launched and succeeded in a number of business ventures throughout their careers, their special appreciation for the impact that vision and ingenuity can have on a state, a community, and the lives of individuals is legendary. That’s why, over the past three decades, the Stephensons have dedicated more than $25 million to the LSU Foundation, consistently supporting and creating opportunities for their alma mater to produce forward-thinking, impact-driven graduates and outcomes. 

In 2016, Nascent Technologies Corporation (NTC) received a $500,000 donation from the LSU Foundation directed by Emmet and Toni Stephenson. NTC was renamed the Stephenson Technologies Corporation (STC) in honor of the couple’s generous gift. Their lifetime commitment to innovation, integrity, and generosity shapes the core values of the organization and continues to inspire our employees. 

Sadly, Toni Stephenson succumbed to pancreatic cancer in 2020. The commitment she shared with her husband to improve the lives of others through technology and philanthropy will live on through his ongoing efforts to bring about positive change for people across the globe.
