Support for Development Initiatives Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. (SDIC) is a consulting company registered in Nepal. Its services focusing on developing institutional, social and economic development support in public and private sector. SDIC extend services to support development initiatives ranging from governance, institutional capacity development and planning with due attention on social and environmental issues at national and sub nation levels.

Governance crisis, institutional weaknesses, poor functioning of public agencies, weak planning practices has attributed the poor performance of the country's socio-economy. Therefore, SDIC is established in 2010 as a company under Company Act of Nepal to facilitate development needs of those functions in all development sectors. SDIC is providing support to governments, I/NGOs and donor agencies in their development efforts in the areas of survey, research & studies, training & capacity building, project planning, monitoring & evaluation and policy formulation. It has provided services in all geographical regions of the country and all kinds of people irrespective of gender, ethnicity and caste. The SDIC equally recognizes the clients need for cost-effective, innovativeness and practical solution which is fulfilled trough a sharing of knowledge and expertise. "Quality services to the client" is the ultimate motto of the company.

The company has a Board of Directors (BoDs) that provides policy, guidelines and direction to the secretariat of the company to achieve its goal and objectives.

Secretariat: Secretariat of the company is headed by the full time Managing Director. SDIC has established its financial management system based on generally accepted accounting principles and rules of GoN. SDIC sets up financial and administrative management systems for a particular project based on the established system and tailored for the specific contractual and operational requirements of the project. This includes: financial reporting, budget control and monitoring, funds reconciliation, and operational support and monitoring.

Project Management: Executive Director is responsible for managing project's activities assigned to the SDIC. SDIC appoints a project coordinator to each project from the professional staff pool, who is responsible to ensure total quality control and facilitate smooth progress according to the project plan. Further, SDIC receives necessary support from associate consultants who can be called upon to provide technical backstopping to the team.

Business Development: Directors of SDIC are responsible for business promotion activities and clients relation. Directors are supported by office staff to contact and coordination with clients, prepare proposals and documentation.
