For more than 30 years, Syctom has a number of complementary roles in the treatment of household waste, its recovery in the form of materials and energy, but also the prevention and awareness of residents in close connection with its member communities. Beyond its core business, it drives the entire waste industry on its territory.

Waste treatment

In its facilities, Syctom receives the various flows collected by its member communities in the 85 municipalities of the territory: residual household waste, selective collection and bulky objects. In total, nearly 2.3 million tonnes of waste are processed for recovery in the form of green energy or materials.

Waste recovery

In a world where raw materials are scarce and fossil fuels are destined to disappear, waste is a real resource. With material recovery and energy recovery, Syctom contributes to a new economy, more sustainable and more virtuous with a slogan: zero waste not valued.

Prevention and awareness

With the aim of zero zero waste, Syctom works to reduce and sort waste and supports actions on these topics throughout its territory. A dynamic reinforced by the labeling "Territory zero waste, zero waste" Syctom by the Ministry of Environment and ADEME.
