Taisei Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the Construction, urban development, other construction-related business operations, and associated engineering services. The company operates in four business segments:
 

• TThe Civil Engineering segment is engaged in the civil engineering business. 

• The building construction segment is engaged in the general construction business. 

• The Real estate development segment is involved in the purchase, sale and brokerage of real estate, the development of residential land, the leasing of owned real estate. 

• The Others segment is involved in the contract research business, the provision of technology services, the environment analysis business. It also conducts real estate management business, operates golf courses and others.

 

The company was founded in 1873 and is incorporated on December 28, 1917. It is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.

In June 2010, the Taisei Group reorganized its structure of values and policies for the first time in twenty years.
