Since its launch in 2013, TaroWorks has reached 70 social enterprises and non-profit organizations across 30 countries, supporting over 200,000 micro-entrepreneurs, and improving the lives of over 3 million of the world’s poor.

The Grameen Foundation helps the world’s poorest people reach their full potential, connecting their determination and skills with the resources they need. One of their activities is to develop tools to improve the effectiveness of poverty-focused organizations. TaroWorks began life as one of these tools in 2013. The Grameen Foundation then incubated the TaroWorks team until they launched as an independent organisation in 2015. The Grameen Foundation remains heavily involved with TaroWorks.
