Since its foundation in 1998, TEKIA has worked in projects involving most of ITS technologies, particularly in safety projects for road tunnels. The main work lines in TEKIA refers to - road tolling, road traffic management and traveller information, automated fare collection for public transport, public transport information and bus fleet control, safety tunnels, incident and emergency operation, etc.

TEKIA has worked all over the world, although its strategic direction leads toward Latin America, having carried out projects in Mexico, Colombia, Chile and other countries in the region, with main offices in Mexico and Perú in where are subsidiary companies.

Following its Latin American vocation, Tekia is the only Spanish-speaking engineering that, since its founding in 1998, has devoted all its resources to the most efficient, safe and sustainable transport, becoming from ITS systems.
