Since the establishment of Tekken Corporation in 1944, they have been involved in development of social infrastructure with the main focus being on railway company related construction. Tekken Corporation has participated in numerous railway related projects as well as construction of roads, riverbank reinforcement structural projects, etc. Tekken Corporation has also been involved in various building construction projects including housing, hospitals, schools, etc. Tekken Corporation is proud of its growth into an integrated construction company.

Tekken Corporation has built on its experience in overseas markets starting with Singapore in 1984, then followed by a string of projects in Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Bangladesh and India.
The current mid-term plan has Tekken Corporation's overseas business slated to become one of its core segments by 2020. To achieve this goal, a target was set for the fiscal year 2020 with a budget of 20,000 million Japanese yen in overseas construction orders. To this end, sales development is being actively pursued centering on the Asian region.

The Japanese government has a policy of promoting high quality infrastructure in developing countries. Based on this policy, Tekken Corporation plans to focus on investing in transportation infrastructure with the expectation of continuing ODA investment. First, a corporate structure that can continuously bear overall sales of the order of 10% will be created. At the same time, technology transfers are envisioned through on-the-job training (OJT) programs. Enhancing the skill levels of locally engaged employees and localization programs will progress simultaneously. In doing so, Tekken Corporation hopes to contribute to the growth of local firms, and to the development in developing countries.
