Terre Solidali, a non-profit organization was created in Italy in July 2002 (registration no. 1733 of 05.08.2002, Moncalieri) and immediately started to implement its activities in Italy and in developing countries. The Association was recognized as an NGO by the Inland Revenue to the Piedmont Region, dated 15/04/2003 pursuant to Law 662/96 (Ministry of Finance, 03.29.1999). Since 2002, its budget has been certified by Fidalta SPA (Member of Urbach Hacker Young - UHJ, International), Viale Teodorico 21 - Milan. Since 2008 the budget has been certified by the auditor Michele Matteo Romano, Via Rossini 25/16, Ornago (Milan), registration Register of Certified Auditors No. 117777.

Terre Solidali was founded by a group of experts in development cooperation, with the main objective to strengthen civil society in developing countries through the implementation of projects in various sectors. Thanks to existing and established relationships with various partners, Terre Solidali immediately began its activities in Italy and Africa (Kenya, Somalia, Morocco, Mauritania and Niger), supported by Italian public institutions such as municipalities, universities and institutions , and private citizens. Part of its activities is carried out through voluntary performance of members.

Terre Solidali is registered in Somaliland, Puntland and Kenya as International NGO specialized in strengthening the governance and management of IT Financial Management Systems applied to public and private institutions for the organization and security of basic services (mainly water, slaughter, markets , urban sanitation and electricity).
