. The presence of more than 1000 parents, students and Coalition Partners sent a strong message about the engagement of the Black and Brown community in advocating to achieve educational equity and excellence NOW

The Coalition has been in ongoing meetings with the Superintendent of Schools; has presented to the Montgomery County Council Education and Culture Committee and testified before the Board of Education on numerous occasions. Our elected officials and education leaders especially the members of the Board of Education, Superintendent, President and Members of the County Council, our County Executive and the leaders of our school associations continue to be a part of our discussions on creating educational equity and excellence for ALL students in MOCO, especially Black and Brown students. The Black and Brown Coalition for Equity and Excellence in Education is a partnership created to address inequities in education in MCPS.
