The Japan Building Center (BCJ) started its activities in 1965 as a specialized institution for technical evaluation of newly developed building construction methods, equipment and materials, and also as an information center related to construction.
Since the revision of the Building Standards Act in 1998, designated (registered) institutional work such as performance evaluation of building technology based on laws and regulations, building confirmation inspection, structural calculation suitability judgment, housing performance evaluation, and even original evaluation of building technology, Seismic-resistant diagnostic rating, CASBEE evaluation and certification, etc., we are promoting activities throughout the field of construction technology as a diverse evaluation organization.
In addition, they are conducting research and research activities to promote exchanges between industry, academia and government in the field of construction and to contribute to the development of the building world.
