The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation
About

The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation was established in 2001 as an African community foundation in response to the growth and impact of the HIV pandemic. In 2002, The Foundation and Africa-based Coca-Cola bottlers established the most extensive employee healthcare program for HIV/AIDS and related conditions in Africa.

Once The Coca-Cola System successfully funded the workplace HIV/AIDS programs, The Foundation redirected its HIV efforts to solely fund prevention and awareness services for communities.

As part of its mission is to strengthen and empower African communities, The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation also formed partnerships with local grassroots and international non-governmental organizations to deliver HIV/AIDS education and prevention.

The Foundation’s community activities focus on one of four key areas central to life in Africa: water, health, education and entrepreneurship. By providing assistance in the most critical areas of need, we strive to improve the quality of life for communities in Africa and expand the opportunities for those who live there.

Additionally, The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation is involved in humanitarian assistance in Africa, for disaster relief and emergency assistance.

The Foundation's Activites

Health

With health, they have hope. And with hope, anything is possible, which is why at The Cola-Cola Africa Foundation our Africa health programs are an integral part of bettering our continent – more specifically, the prevention of malaria and HIV/AIDS.

Since 2007, TCCAF have invested more than $7 million to implement health initiatives in 19 countries across Africa. With the help of various partner organizations, good health is within reach. And hope is right behind it.

Education

They believe an education is achieved with more than just a textbook. As such, their flagship African education programs empower young people to help unveil their full potential and deepen their desire to learn.

With $12.8 million invested across 16 countries with two NGO partnerships, our programs equip students in Africa’s primary schools, high schools and tertiary institutions with the knowledge and skills that every child deserves.

Entrepreneurship

Their main objective is to help today’s youth understand the importance of self-reliance and the impact they all have on the future of the economy by addressing the issue of unemployment in Africa and helping to create a culture of entrepreneurship.

Humanitarian Assistance

The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation remains committed to supporting disaster relief and emergency assistance efforts in African countries.

To date, The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation has committed over $22 million in several humanitarian assistance interventions in 17 countries throughout Africa, in partnership with four NGOs.
