Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines, established in November 1986, envisions that “people from all walks of life, from the public to the private sectors, work together to make a meaningful difference, building a better Philippines for generations to come.”
Our mission mirrors that of The Coca-Cola Company: To refresh the world…Inspire moments of optimism and happiness…Create value and make a difference.
Since it began operations in 1987, the Foundation has helped to provide thousands of Filipinos with better opportunities in education and in improving their financial livelihood, provided emergency assistance during disasters and implemented various projects on environmental conservation.
The Foundation’s current programs are focused on ensuring water availability, especially for underprivileged communities, as well as providing education and development opportunities to the Filipino youth.
We are driven by the desire to make a significant contribution to the country’s environment, education, and health issues and to promote the values of collaboration and volunteerism.
PROJECTS
WATER
Water, the foundation of life, is also the foundation of every beverage made by The Coca-Cola Company. Improving water quality and availability is vital to the business and the communities it serves. The Company’s goal is to replenish to nature and communities an amount of water equivalent to what is used in its finished beverage.
Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines supports this commitment through programs that protect and restore our watersheds and make safe water available to water-poor communities.
YOUTH
The youth comprise 33% of the Philippines population. They are the future parents, teachers and leaders on whom we anchor our hope for a better community and country.
The Foundation supports the basic building block of a young person’s development – education – and champions the drive to cultivate the spirit of citizenship among the youth, inspiring them to be active players in building their country.
VOLUNTEERISM
The Filipino word barkada can be defined as a group of friends with a lifelong bond of camaraderie. It is with this barkada spirit that employees are encouraged to volunteer and support Coca-Cola Foundation’s programs and advocacies.
DISASTER RESPONSE
They call, we answer. In times of calamities and natural disasters, the Foundation is ready to assist communities with drinking water and basic goods through qualified non-government organizations and the nationwide network of Coca-Cola facilities.
