The Fund for Global Human Rights

About

The Fund for Global Human Rights invests in the power of human rights activism to advance justice and equality around the world.

Founded in 2002, the Fund for Global Human Rights is a global team of fundraisers, grantmakers, technical experts, and activists with decades of experience navigating practical and political barriers to support human rights movements in some of the world’s most dangerous and repressive contexts. Through the crackdowns, setbacks, and uncertainty, the organization finds ways to ensure that human rights defenders have the resources they need to mobilize for change.

The organization's approach is built on trust, solidarity, and collaboration—linking donors to activists, movements to allies, and the grassroots to the global. Through long-term flexible funding and hands-on strategic support, we help frontline activists build powerful movements and push for change on their own terms.

The Fund for Global Human Rights believes that when everyone stands together in the face of adversity, transformational change is possible. Diverse groups connect to form powerful movements. Bold ideas turn into sustainable solutions. Together, everyone can build toward a more just and equitable world for all.
