About

ICA Japan began as an arbitrary organization in 1970 and since July 2001 ICA Japan has been acting as a specified nonprofit corporation. Meanwhile, ICA Japan have consistently worked on cross-sectional areas of community development in developing countries, especially of women and children education, nutrition, income improvement, health and sanitation, agriculture, etc. Its activities extend to Asia, Africa and Latin America. Even in Japan, since continuing the support activities for victims immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake, they are now supporting the recovery activities of people in the nuclear disaster areas in Fukushima Prefecture. They have also received funds for relief from overseas.

The Association (ICA Japan) is working independently as a member of ICA International (Canada) and member organizations in 30 countries around the world, while independently supporting development support activities. Based on the recognition that residents living there are experts in the area, focusing on training programs and capacity development for the purpose of human development for the residents.
